Sergio Pérez has actually been on his hips all weekend in Hungary. Add to that some setbacks, and the Mexican Red Bull driver stranded in qualifying in Q2.
Pérez first saw a lap time canceled in Q2 due to track limits, but got that round back later. However, it was not a top lap anyway: not enough to advance to Q3, the final part of qualifying.
So Pérez had to start again, but that lap was not fast enough either, according to Pérez because Kevin Magnussen got in the way. “I was very unhappy”, he is in front of the camera of F1TV believe. “First with the track limitsbut I got that time back. On my second attempt Kevin was on the racing line.”
“I had to swerve because of that and lost some tithe, but that was precious tithe.” In the end, Pérez was stuck at 0.071 seconds in Q2, in eleventh place. “I hope we can recover this in the race and still get good points,” he keeps hope in Hungary.
