Estarling Martínez Cabral, a 20-year-old man, turned himself in to police, who were looking for him as a suspect in at least two sexual assaults in New York City.
Martinez turned himself in accompanied by a lawyer in Brooklyn, reported Pix11. On July 20, supposedly dragged a 33-year-old woman down a staircase of a building on 69th St on the Upper West Side from Manhattan and sexually assaulted her before leaving on a scooter.
Four days later, Martínez also allegedly groped a 20-year-old girl inside the Carroll St subway station in Brooklyn. He apparently covered her mouth to prevent her from screaming, but she managed to free herself, according to authorities.
Martinez, a Brooklyn resident, was charged with attempted rape and sexual assault. All charges are mere accusations and the persons prosecuted are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
