1. Cell phones stolen from store – Offenbach
(aa) Early on Friday, a thief smashed the glass front door of a shop on Frankfurter Strasse (single-digit house numbers). The security company received the alarm shortly after 2 a.m. When the first police patrol arrived, the perpetrator had already cleared the display with mobile phones. Some of the loot was found on the escape route shortly afterwards. A detailed listing of the stolen phones is yet to come. The criminal police are asking for information on 069 8098-1234.
2. Cigarette vending machine was blown up – Offenbach
(aa) The criminal police are asking for information about a machine blast in the north ring. 3. Parked cars were damaged – Heusenstamm
(aa) On Thursday night, an unknown person scratched several parked cars on Wildhofer Strasse and Sebastian-von-Heusenstamm-Strasse with a pointed object. 4. Peugeot rolled over: driver seriously injured – Obertshausen/Autobahn 3
(fg) On Thursday afternoon, a serious traffic accident occurred on Autobahn 3 between the Hanau and Obertshausen junctions in the direction of Cologne, as a result of which a 27-year-old Peugeot driver had to be taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The Autobahn 3 was partially closed due to the traffic accident, which led to significant traffic delays. According to initial findings, the 27-year-old was driving in the left lane towards Cologne shortly before 2 p.m. when a car in front had to slow down due to traffic. To prevent a rear-end collision, the Peugeot driver from Mainhausen slammed on the brakes and swerved to the right, where he collided sideways with a truck. The Peugeot was thrown back by the collision, crossed all lanes and crashed into the concrete sliding wall. The car was rejected by this, apparently rolled over several times and ultimately came to rest on the roof of the middle lane. The driver of the Peugeot was taken to a hospital by ambulance with serious injuries. Overall, property damage was around 6,300 euros.
5. Search for witnesses and victims after a dangerous intervention in road traffic – Rodgau/Nieder-Roden
(fg) Police officers provisionally arrested a 23-year-old man on Thursday evening after he had previously walked in front of several passing cars on Heusenstammer Weg and Rodgau-Ring-Straße and had physically attacked some road users. In this context, the police are looking in particular for a cyclist, other witnesses and possible victims. Investigations are being carried out on suspicion of dangerous intervention in road traffic, bodily harm and property damage. Around 9:30 p.m., police received several calls saying a man was rampaging in the street. A patrol crew immediately set off and provisionally arrested the 23-year-old suspect, who had already been arrested by attentive witnesses. During the questioning of witnesses, it turned out that the suspect had apparently without reason attacked the driver and the passenger of a Chevrolet in the area of a pedestrian crossing by hitting him. The young man then held a cyclist whose personal details are not certain and who should please report to the police. However, the woman broke free and rode away on her bike. In the further course he had hit a motorcyclist against the helmet, so that it was damaged; the wind deflector and the speedometer display of the Suzuki were also damaged as a result. The suspect then jumped onto a gray BMW, which was forced to stop due to the incident at the fork in the two streets. Through the intervention of passers-by, the 23-year-old was ultimately held until he was arrested. After the police measures, the 23-year-old was taken to a specialist clinic. 6. Bike already coded? Action at the marketplace – Seligenstadt
(aa) The Seligenstadt police station is carrying out a coding campaign for bicycles and bicycle trailers on Sunday (July 31). The action takes place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on the market square in front of the town hall. Police commissioner Nico Cavallo and his colleagues at the Seligenstadt police station are looking forward to numerous consultations on the subject of bicycles. 1. No complaints about angler control – Hanau
(aa) There were no complaints during a check in Philippsruher Allee on Thursday evening: between 9.45 p.m. and 10.30 p.m. a patrol from the Hanau I police station on the Mainuferradweg was on a patrol in the matter of fish poaching.
