The accident took place on July 28 at the Hong Kong Coliseum. During a Mirror concert, a giant screen broke off and first crushed a dancer, before falling on another. Three members of the public were also affected. The shocking images have gone viral on social media.

The “South China Morning Post” reports that the victims of the Mirror group have been taken to hospital. One is seriously injured in the neck, the other is in stable condition after being shot in the head. An investigation has been opened to find out the reasons for this tragedy. Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee said: “I am shocked. I express my sympathy to those who were injured and hope they recover soon.”

The concert was of course quickly interrupted and the group canceled its next shows. Culture Secretary Kevin Yeung said shows at the venue have been suspended until the stage is deemed safe again.
