An accident stopped the traffic of the trams on “Botevgradsko Shose” in Sofia this evening. A car broke the guardrail and stopped on the tracks.

The accident happened at the intersection with “Vitinya” street. The policemen who arrived at the scene found that the driver was gone and the car had no license plates.

Emergency crews moved the vehicle off the tracks. Until that happened, however, the passengers in the trams gave up waiting and continued on foot.

The car was moving at an extremely high speed, because it folded the metal fences, like paper, commented the people living around.
