Question:
Allow me to ask Doc…
I am a 27 year old woman and have experienced a drastic decrease in sex drive, and this has been going on for about 4 months. During sex, my partner has given various stimuli, but I do not feel aroused and vaginal lubrication does not come out either.

Several times I also felt discomfort or a little pain during penetration sex, and made me ask to stop the sex.
Previously, my sexual desire was fine and the natural lubrication of the vagina was quite good. However, this condition really disturbed my relationship.
Last year, I experienced severe stress due to work and it affected my psyche. I also have depression. Before this problem arose, my relationship with my partner was fine, and I had never had any sexual trauma.
What do you think is the cause and is this a symptom of a disease? If I need treatment, which doctor should I visit? Does obgyn help?
L (female, 27 years old)
Answer:
From the description of this patient’s history, it is possible that the main problem is psychological/psychological.
The most appropriate treatment is visiting a mental health specialist (SpKJ/ Psychiatrist) to correct psychological problems, especially depression.
Later, it will be evaluated whether psychotherapy is sufficient or should antidepressant drugs be used, of course the main expertise lies with the SpKJ doctor (psychiatrist).
