NIMH warns of dangerous weather in almost the entire country
During the next 24 hours, a cold atmospheric front will pass through the country. Cumulus clouds will develop over Western and Central Bulgaria and there will be rain and thunderstorms in many places. In some areas, hail is also possible. In the extreme eastern parts, the chance of precipitation is low and it will be mostly sunny for most of the day. The maximum temperatures will drop and will be between 30 and 36 degrees, in the capital region – around 29.
Yellow codes for hazardous weather have been issued in 22 areas.
There are high temperature warnings for Kardzhali, Haskovo, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Yambol, Sliven, Veliko Tarnovo, Ruse, Targovishte, Razgrad, Shumen and Silistra.
In the regions of Sofia-city, Sofia-region, Pernik, Kyustendil, Blagoevgrad, Pazardzhik, Smolyan, Pleven, Lovech and Gabrovo, the warning is for intense precipitation, with thunderstorms, there are also conditions for hail.
Along the Black Sea, it will remain sunny tomorrow and with wonderful conditions for the beach. There will be clouds only in the late afternoon, but rain is not expected. The readings of the thermometers will reach 28 – 29 degrees, and the sea water remains at a pleasant 25 degrees. It will blow to a moderate easterly wind, which will create waves up to about a meter.
However, the mountains will not be very suitable for tourism. From the morning there will be a lot of clouds, and by the evening it will rain and thunder in many places. In some areas, the rain will be intense, with the possibility of hail. Temperatures will drop noticeably and at 2000 meters they will not exceed 16-17 degrees.
