Open location Dietenbach
The majority of the municipal council decided that the 674-page first of six development plans for the new district of Dietenbach should be open. The two AfD city councilors and Wolf-Dieter Winkler (Freiburg Worth Living) voted against it. Gerlinde Schrempp (Freie Whler) and the Esfa faction abstained. In the “Am Frohnholz” design there is space for around 1,600 apartments, the market square and the park at the Kserbach are also being built here. The draft will be made public on August 8 so that citizens, authorities and associations have the opportunity to comment. The comments are processed and presented to the municipal council together with the final decision on the development plan, the statute decision. If the resolution in the articles of incorporation comes into force, there is fundamentally a right to build. The next step is marketing the land. According to the current status, the reorganization of the land is to start in 2023, followed by road and canal work later in the year.
Help for Lviv

Mayor Martin Horn warned against a “creeping habituation to the terrible war”. A rehabilitation center for war victims and accommodation for refugees are to be co-financed with the money from Freiburg.
Art in Gutleutmatten
The Gutleutmatten district is complete, and the municipal council has now taken note of the final report from the escrow account. At the request of the Greens, Esfa, SPD/Kulturliste and Freiburg Lebenswert, the committee also approved an increase in the budget for art in public spaces to a maximum of 100,000 euros.

The city can buy the property of the Federal Agency for Real Estate Tasks in the planned district of Kleineschholz. The municipal council unanimously approved the purchase price of around 23 million euros.
