Musicians will also perform at the Freedom Monument on July 29 at 6 p.m.
The organizers of the event noted that “Melo-M” and five Ukrainian musicians, who are currently taking refuge from the war in Ukraine and live in Latvia, have created a musicians’ union.
The musicians give concerts for the residents of Riga and its guests free of charge in a symbolically chosen place – at the Freedom Monument.
As the organizers of the event announced, the concerts will feature the anthems of both nations, Ukrainian folk songs, the song “Native language” by the group “Līvi”, the song “Stefania” by the winner of the Eurovision concert “Kalush Orchestra” and many other popular melodies in the world.
