Free fiber is now available on the public initiative network (RIP) Hérault Numérique.
Free has just announced the arrival of its fiber offer on the Hérault Numérique network, which is deployed and operated by the infrastructure operator Xp Fibre, which belongs to the Altice group (SFR).
Over 108,000 eligible homes
This RIP currently covers more than 185,000 connectable outlets out of the 263,000 it will have by the end of the first half of 2023. On the Hérault Numérique network, Free now offers its fiber optic offers to more than 108,000 housing in more than 135 municipalities. And in the long term, the operator will be present on all the sockets deployed by Hérault Numérique.
Free is also announcing that in the private zone, in the department, its offers are already available to residents of the Montpellier Méditerranée metropolitan area, the Béziers Méditerranée urban community, the Pays de l’Or community of municipalities as well as than the Urban Community of the Bassin de Thau. This corresponds to 512,000 dwellings.
Companies served by FTTH networks are eligible for the Free Pro offer, while individuals can subscribe to Freebox Pop, for example.
