A male body was found wrapped in the driveway of a house in Brooklyn (NYC), after being thrown by a man who transported it in a wheelbarrow, police sources said.
The unidentified body was found at 931 72nd St, Dyker Heights neighborhood, around 11:30 a.m. yesterday, according to NYPD. Private security footage shows another man transporting the dead person to that location with a hand truck about 12 hours earlier, that is, on Monday night.
Police and other emergency workers flooded the scene after the grim discovery, he said. New York Post. The body had been wrapped in a white sheet and placed in a black bag. He had no obvious signs of trauma. The medical examiner is yet to determine the cause of death, while the NYPD tries to identify him.
Austeria Bolden, 63, whose daughter lives in an apartment near where the body was found, said Seeing the body left her “traumatised”. “I just saw the body lying there. I was lying on my stomach on the ground… now it’s on my mind and I’m worried. I am scared for my grandchildren,” she commented.
George Vlachakus said he has lived nearby all his life and has always known the neighborhood to be quiet. “It’s crazy that something like this has happened here,” he said. “This is Dyker Heights, the quietest neighborhood in Brooklyn… It’s not something I expected, ever, ever, ever. You see these things on television. You would never believe it would happen here.”
NYPD has not identified the suspect requested to transport the body.
