The Chief Marshal Cruchot is back in service! “Le Gendarme de Saint-Tropez” airs on Friday evening on M6 from 29 July.

Imagined by Richard Balducci after a senseless meeting with a fairly good-natured policeman stationed in Saint-Tropez, the film tells the adventures of Ludovic Cruchota very zealous policeman, transferred to the seaside town of Saint-Tropez, on the Côte d’Azur, with the rank of chief marshal.

He discovers a brigade where life is good and participates in the recurring hunts for nudists and the many relaxation activities of his brigade, led by Warrant Officer Gerber, somewhat outdated.

The gendarme Cruchot, promoted to Marshal of the Logis, arrives in Saint-Tropez followed by his daughter Nicole, who quickly adapted to local customs.

While her policeman father tracks down the nudist on the beaches, she is compromised in a gang of painting thieves. Avatars then rain down on the head of the unfortunate Cruchot who manages however, with the help of his brigade and his daughter’s friends, to dismantle the gang.

The Saint-Tropez brigade represents France at the International Congress of Gendarmerie which takes place in New York. All travel on the liner “France” in which Nicole, the daughter of Cruchot, stow away.

The latter will do everything to make his men ignore his presence, because his authority would be threatened if this escapade were revealed in broad daylight. But Nicole manages very well on her own, made friends with a television journalist and living a very idyll with an Italian brigadier.

Cruchot must stop it very quickly, before it triggers a series of disasters…
