Come and meet the scientific mediators of the Sparks of the Palais de la Découverte!
The Palais de la Découverte is benefiting from its first major renovation since it opened in 1937.
While waiting for its reopening in 2025, it continues its activities outside the walls, and welcomes its public in an eco-designed ephemeral structure: the Sparks of the Palace of Discovery. All summer long, the curious are invited to (re)discover the scientific phenomena that govern our world in the company of mediators from the Palais de la Découverte.
The mediations of the Sparks of the Palace of Discovery
Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., during school holidays
Throughout the year, presentations in chemistry, geosciences, physics, computer and digital sciences, life sciences, mathematics and astronomy are presented.
Traveling to the planet Mars, understanding the mechanics of the climate, discovering matter in all its states such as its interactions with light, observing communication in ants and cetonia, lifting the veil on artificial intelligence or diving heart of mathematics or the Jurassic… All this is possible, right in the heart of Paris, thanks to the original presentations and workshops led by the mediators of the Palais de la Découverte! The Spirits of the Palace
Between creative documentary and radio soap opera, this series of podcasts created from in vivo sound recordings plunges us into the sound atmosphere of the Palais de la Découverte before its closure in 2020 and reminds us of the secrets of its walls more than 80 years old !
