SILENCE vs. CAKE - each has its own electric motto

Review and comparison between SILENCE S01 and CAKE KALK. A very similar but completely different audience. City/highway or suburban/forest trails.

First of all, it should be mentioned that these two scooters are excellent, and secondly, each one is meant for its own part of the city. Silence is a distinct Jurmala-Riga scooter. Designed for city traffic both with its impressive mileage and its sporty design. It just fits into the city, which certainly couldn’t be said for Cake. Cake has a futuristic look, and it should be noted that it will draw 10 times more attention than anything else on the market today.

The Silence is very good on the highway, which is not really the case with the Cake. Cake is located in Saulkrasti, Baltezer or Upesciem. You wouldn’t call it an “apartment” scooter, you need to let it go – freedom. It has to be driven on dirt roads, dunes and sand. Only then can you fully enjoy it. That’s the nature of Cake. And the best thing about it all is that the neighbors will not stretch wires across the road, because they simply won’t hear you. Don’t worry, the sound is still there and powerful enough to deal with the driver in traffic and look back, which can’t be said about Silence. The name says it all – it’s almost completely silent.

Charging

The Cake charger is quite noisy because it has built-in cooling. It should also be mentioned that its battery cannot be removed and brought into the apartment to be charged. You will need a garage or shed with an electrical connection or a very long extension cord. In the case of Silence, the battery is removed like a suitcase, which, of course, can be connected so that someone does not think to take it out. Everything is thought out there. The value of the battery is approximately 1200 EUR. Weighing over 30kg, it is certainly not easy to carry it up a couple of floors, but Silence wins this battle. It is better not to drive Cake on the second floor.

It’s the Tesla of mopeds and the Apple of phones.

The Silence is definitely the most beautiful “standard” scooter for the city. There are many variations of front lights, everyone will find a way to stand out. Scooters simply don’t have those types of lights – a big plus. The home of Silence is currently LIFE Garage Mūkusala street. I definitely recommend visiting there as well – you can buy all kinds of electric mopeds, motorcycles and equipment.
