WhatsApp will add a new function to the groups of the app

WhatsApp is testing a new feature that, if all goes well, should hit the app groups shortly.

What use could this function have?

It is now customary that, from time to time, from WhatsApp implement different functions and novelties in the app. Most of them are discovered from time to time in the beta phases of the application.

And the truth is that most of them end up being implemented sooner or later in WhatsApp. In fact, not long ago it was discovered that WhatsApp I was going to make a number of changes to the groups related to privacy.

WhatsApp wants to implement a list of people who leave a group

These changes meant that we could leave a WhatsApp group silently. In other words, the members of the group would not be notified that we had left the group, as is the case now, and only the administrators would know.

This function has not been implemented yet. And, after knowing the function discovered in one of the betas of the app, we cannot be very sure that it will arrive. This is because the new feature is pretty much the opposite of silently leaving the party.

the list of people

And it is that, from what it seems and in contrast to the other function discovered, this new function reveals who has left a group of WhatsApp. It would show, at the bottom of the groups, the list of people who have left the group in question.

Apparently, this list would have a time limit. It would only show who dropped out or was removed from groups in the previous 60 days. But this temporary limitation does not imply that, in a certain way, your privacy can be compromised.

Of course, if we had to choose between the two functions, we stayed with the one that allowed us to silently leave a group. In fact, we do not understand very well what this list of people who have left the group can contribute. What do you think?
