After the season, the management of Baník Ostrava announced a big reinforcement to the implementation team. Pavel Vrba returned to Bazaly, who immediately after his arrival won the respect of the Ostrava footballers, with whom he will attack the European Cups. So will the Chachars finally get their desired goal?
Implementation team
Coach Vrba is without a doubt one of the best Czech coaches, who would like to continue his successful engagement in Viktoria Plzeň in Baník. The former coach of Sparta or Razgrad returned to Bazaly after 18 years and would certainly like to attack European cups.
The native of Přerov is a coach that Baník has been missing for a long time. In short, Vrba can be the difference in the cabin of the Silesian unit, in many ways. Experience and respect – Baník simply has to make the most of it.
However, Baník’s preparation showed that the team is not in ideal playing condition and coach Vrba has already revealed what he wants to focus on in the opening matches. Ostrava footballers can create a decent number of scoring opportunities, but they will have to work on the efficiency of the finish.
Keeper
In the case of Baník Ostrava, the number one goalkeeper is almost clear. Although Slezáné now has to deal with his injury, Jan Laštůvka is, in short, a certainty. Goalkeeper number two will be Jiří Letáček, who was born in Pardubice and came to Bazaly as part of a one-year loan with an option. The role of the goalkeeper trio will be fulfilled by Martin Hrubý
Defense
In the position of defender, Baník has quite a lot of alternatives. Jiří Fleišman and Gigli Ndefe should work again on the edges of the defense, but the head coach of Baník also has an interesting alternative in Jan Kubal, who transferred to Ostrava from Italy’s Udinese.
The Slezans have a lot of competition for the stopper position. Jaroslav Svozil, Jan Juroška and currently David Lischka are on the long-term injured list, but the center of defense is the most heavily occupied position. Michal Frydrych returned to Baník, who will probably form a stopper pair with Jakub Pokorný at the start of the Fortuna League.
Deposit
Already club website although Eldar Šehič figures as a defender, in preparation, coach Baník used him on the edge of the reserve line. And he didn’t play badly at all when he scored two goals in the matches against Celtic and Žilina.
Coach Vrba will be able to count on two defensive midfielders – Filip Kaloč and Ladislav Takács. Daniel Tetour should again take on the role of a creative midfielder, Vrba will find many uses for Nemanja Kuzmanovič. But it will depend on the formation that Baník will apply during the season. David Buchta will also significantly support Baník’s offensive activity.
Attacker Jiří Klíma can therefore play on the other side of the reserve, whom Vrba also built for this position as part of the preparation.
Attack
Every opponent should be very careful about Baník’s attack. Forward number 1 should be Ladislav Almási, who in the past year fought until the last moment for the crown of the king of shooters. Klíma or the young Daniel Smékal can bring a real wind into the opponent’s tired defense. Coach Vrba also often used Muhamed Tijani in preparation for the tip.
In conclusion, it can be noted that Vrba will have at his disposal many players who can jump in at several positions, whether it is Takács (defense, midfield), Klíma (tip, wing) or, for example, Kuzmanović (sub-tip, midfield, attack). And that is exactly the advantage of Baník, Vrba can thus rotate the lineup and try several different setups.

Buchta – Kuzmanovič – Šehič
Weaver – Tetour
