Arsenal star Bukayo Saka may be interested in joining the likes of Chelsea, former Premier League goalkeeper Paddy Kenny has claimed.
It’s no secret that Saka is one of the most exciting talents in world football right now and he’s a player that Arsenal believe will help them win some titles in the coming seasons.
However, he has made no secret of his desire to play in the Champions League every year and win trophies, something the Gunners are not yet ready to hand over to him.
And after missing out on the top four this season when he was right there for the taking, there has been much speculation that he could decide to leave the club sooner rather than later.
However, amidst all the speculation and amidst all the rumours, Mikel Arteta came out and told the fans that Arsenal are very close to agreeing a big new contract with the talented winger.
But now, Kenny has opened up and stated that Saka might be interested in joining a club like ChelseaFC, like Liverpool and Man City, who compete in the Champions League every year.
Speaking to Football Insider, via SportBible, Kenny said: “I think Arsenal will go for fourth place this season. I like who they have added, Jesus and Zinchenko, I just think he [Saka] not in a hurry to sign [a new contract].
“And Arsenal didn’t make the Champions League this season, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s looking for a move. He would be looking to move to a Champions League regular like Liverpool or Man City, even Chelsea.
“It would have to be someone who has more or less guaranteed Champions League football. It is difficult because he still has years left on his contract and whoever enters will have to pay the best price.
“He will definitely want to leave if they don’t get into the Champions League, that’s what the club promises him.”
