The Professional Union of Local Police and Firefighters has proceeded to file a lawsuit in court in order to legally require the Sax City Council to proceed with the contracting of a life, accident and civil liability insurance policy as established from 2020 to those consistories that have local police.

The union affirms that Sax has been failing to comply with said obligation for more than two years, which, in addition, has been informed by the Ombudsman, who has indicated that the right to union activity, the right to good administration, has been violated and the provision of the service in adequate conditions and adequate protection of physical and mental health.

In this sense, the accused also affirms that the council violates other protection regulations such as the fact that the majority of local agents do not carry firearms because they are either taking the course or are waiting to go. In addition, they show that the salary is the lowest in the province of Alicante and that the requested documentation is not provided.

Thus, in addition to filing a lawsuit in court to contract insurance, he is considering going to the Labor Inspection and the Valencian Agency for Security and Emergency Response, as well as Transparency for not delivering the requested documentation.
