Miscellaneous – Justice | United States: rescue of 4,000 abused dogs

The American animal rights organization has found 4,000 Beagle dogs in Virginia. The breeding center of the company Envigo, owner of the animals, was sentenced by the courts for mistreatment. The dogs could be transferred, with the help of the government, announces Ouest-France.

It is in 2021 that justice looks into the case of this breeding center. After several checks by the Ministry of Agriculture, the finding is clear: the company is being prosecuted for 73 violations of the animal protection law.

Five shelters, located in the four corners of the United States, should receive the animals. Many people have mobilized on social networks and say they are ready to welcome the survivors.
