Our music is a mixture of everything that is fashionable at the moment”, has confessed Ismail Lumanovski, clarinettist of the group, about his long-awaited performance. “According to what we have heard from our colleagues, the festival is one of the best in Europe. We are eager to arrive and be part of the festival”, he concluded about ‘Música en Segura’. For his part, Daniel Broncano, director of the festival, has assured that “we are looking forward to receiving you at your first concert in Spain. It is a unique, filmic, virtuoso and international group that mixes the talent of five instrumentalists from Macedonia, Greece and Turkey. They met in New York and decided to unite their talent and their origins with New York jazz music, since they are stars of New York jazz”.
Comprised of classically trained virtuosos hailing from the world’s most prestigious music conservatories, the New York Gypsy All-Stars are equally at home in traditional concert halls, jazz clubs and festival stages. Its members interpret all kinds of styles and traditional music from around the world with their own compositions and arrangements, highlighting their origins. ‘Música en Segura’, a musical delicatessen festival held in Segura de la Sierra -One of the Most Beautiful Towns in Spain-, will face its second edition in 2022 from July 29 to 31. The town of music will offer its version more ‘indie’ with concerts by María Rodés, Martín García, Cuarteto Cosmos, New York Gipsy All Stars and Armonía de las Esferas. Four of the five concerts will be held on the Fuenroble Stage, a meadow with amazing views of Segura and the entire area. After the inaugural concert by María Rodés (on the 29th, 8:00 p.m.), the Cosmos Quartet will arrive as a great national quartet with international projection (on the 30th, 8:00 p.m.), New York Gypsy All-Stars being New York jazz stars of Balkan origin (30th, 23:00) and Harmony of the Spheres as a surprising format that combines music and astronomy (31st, 01:00). Likewise, there will be an excursion to Romillán (30th, 08:30).
