Find out what clothes care mistakes you should avoid to make them last longer!

1. Spraying perfume on clothes
Experts recommend that if you want to “keep fresh” your favorite pieces of clothing for longer, then it is strictly forbidden to spray perfume on them. Although most perfumes do not leave unwanted stains on fabric, they can contribute to color fading!

2. Improper ironing
Experts say that clothes containing viscose must be ironed from the left side. If viscose clothing is ironed from the “correct” side, the fabric may become shiny.

3. Improper washing of clothes
When washing clothes, we sort them by color. However, experts point out that color is not the only determining factor. It is also important to be guided by the type of fabric. If thick and thin fabrics are washed together, then the former can damage the latter. For example, if you wash dark colored jeans with a lace dress.

4. Washing jeans
Infrequent washing of clothes is also directly responsible for their rapid deterioration. Often, people wash denim very rarely because it is difficult to see dirt on it. However, washing them regularly will not only promote their cleanliness, but also the “regeneration” of the fabric. When worn regularly, for example, jeans stretch, but when washed, they shrink and return to their previous shape. If you wash your jeans regularly, you will avoid them from stretching.

5. Soaking clothes
When we wash clothes by hand, we often leave them soaking in water. If the clothes stay in such powdery water for too long, they can lose both their color and shape. For example, it is recommended to soak lace fabric for only two to three minutes, silk and wool clothing – no longer than 30 minutes. Meanwhile, cotton clothing should be soaked for no longer than an hour.
