PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) is currently marketing the New Colt L300 which is fully imported from the Philippines. But MMKSI didn’t want to take long to bring this car from a neighboring country, they also claimed to be ready to produce this legendary pickup themselves in Indonesia.
As stated by the President Director of MMKSI, Naoya Nakamura, the current import of the New Colt L300 from the Philippines is only a temporary solution. MMKSI through PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Indonesia (MMKI) is ready to produce this car by themselves next year.
“Regarding production in the Philippines and competitors in Indonesia. This is only a temporary solution and the period will be very short. It is hoped that at the beginning of next year MMKI our factory will produce another L300,” said Naoya in Bekasi (20/7/2022).

Naoya also emphasized that the import of the New Colt L300 will not affect the waiting period (pivot) of consumers, nor will the price of this pickup be too expensive.

“This has been confirmed, that this condition has no effect on consumers. Both in terms of pivot timing and price,” continued Nakamura.
For information, the New Colt L300 is marketed in 2 variants and prices, namely the New Colt L300 Cabin Chassis which is priced at IDR 213,650,000 and the New Colt L300 Pick-up Flat Deck for IDR 218,650,000 (on the road in Jakarta).
The New Colt L300 comes with a cargo size of 8% wider, or 200 mm longer to 2,630 mm, and is claimed to be superior and can benefit entrepreneurs in terms of carrying capacity.
From the engine side, this car is equipped with a new 2.268 cc diesel engine with the 4N14 – DOHC 4 Cylinder Inline, Direct Injection, Inter Cooler Common Rail Turbocharger model.
This engine is capable of producing 99.25 PS/3,500 rpm and 200 Nm/1,000-3,500 rpm of torque, about 40% more than the previous model to support more payload and with greater traction. The machine has also passed Euro4.
