Angers won their third friendly match out of the five they played. Against AS Saint-Étienne, a new Ligue 2 team, on Saturday, the Angevins dominated the game but were still scared. Despite a quick opener from Sima (10th), the Greens equalized through Briançon (1-1 at the break). Diony missed a penalty (76th) but the Angevin reacted well seven minutes later (83rd, 2-1). In the last moments, Bobichon knocked out the Stéphanois with a double in quick succession (89th, 90 + 1st, 4-1).
