It’s official: Daniel Alves is a reinforcement for Pumas. The right-back signed today the contract that links him to the current 8th ranked of the Liga Apertura of Mexico for one season.
The 39-year-old Brazilian international accepted the challenge given to him by the Aztec emblem with the aim of playing regularly in order to keep alive the hope of being called up to the 2022 World Cup.
The deal was made official after the footballer, with a vast record, successfully completed the medical examinations he underwent.
Daniel Alves left his country in 2002, having signed for Sevilla, a club he represented for six seasons. His career continued in Spain with Barcelona, where he spent six seasons. This was followed by spells at Juventus, PSG, S. Paulo and, again, Barcelona.
