Two people were fined 1,000 kuna (133 euros) each for indecent clothing in the old part of Dubrovnik, Hina news agency reported.
The fines were imposed in accordance with a decision of the municipality, which prohibits walking in a bathing suit or without part of the clothes in the city.
The fines were imposed by city inspectors who toured the Old Town together with police officers.
Within the framework of the “Let’s respect the city” project, the city administration placed information posters at all entrances to the Old Town, on which the ban is written in several languages.
Leaflets have also been made to further inform tourists about the rules they must follow in order to avoid fines, the Municipality of Dubrovnik announced.
