In some cases we get free upgrades of games (we already bought) from old consoles to Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. In other cases, not. IN Person 5 Royal-case, it will unfortunately not be possible to upgrade from the PS4 version to the PS5’s ditto. It is confirmed via the game’s Japanese site.
On the other hand see P5R on PS5, at least right now, doesn’t appear to be graphically stronger. We shall see.
Person 5 Royal released October 21 for Playstation 5, Xbox, Switch and PC. Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden (already one super success on Steam) are also in the works, with releases sometime in 2023. Worth noting is that the games are Game Pass titles at their respective releases.
