The first lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, will undergo a repeated test for Covid-19, as she met with US President Joe Biden, who has been diagnosed with Covid-19, reports pravda.com.ua.
Before leaving for the United States, as well as before arriving at the White House to meet with the First Lady of the United States, Jill Biden, Olena Zelenska and the rest of the Ukrainian delegation underwent mandatory tests for Covid-19.
“Everyone who accompanied the wife of the President of Ukraine received negative results. It is clear that in case of a positive test result, the meeting between the First Lady of Ukraine and the United States would not have taken place. Upon receiving information that the President of the United States of America Joe Biden, who also met with Olena Zelens during the visit, has fell ill with Covid-19, the first lady of Ukraine will, of course, take a repeat test,” the President’s office informed.
Olena Zelenska has been vaccinated against Covid-19 and received a booster vaccine.
