A rather unusual police chase took place on Saturday in New York.

A man suspected of stealing sunglasses from a store near Times Square was arrested…with the help of a policeman’s horse.
The animal named Samson had to redouble his efforts to pursue the thief who began to flee the scene of the crime.
Police present at another intersection finalized the arrest of the 34-year-old suspect, giving the horse some respite.
The man faces a charge of theft and possession of a firearm.
He is due to appear in court on Friday.
The entire police intervention was captured by the portable camera of an agent from the New York Police Department.
