An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale was registered at 12:00 on Wednesday on the Greek island of Crete, BTA reports, citing data from the Institute of Geodynamics in Athens.
The tremor was felt across much of eastern Crete. The epicenter was 7 km northeast of the Arkalohori village, at a depth of 13.6 km.
A weaker earthquake of 3.3 on the Richter scale was detected about 40 minutes earlier.
At the moment, there are no reports of injured people or serious material damage.
