5. Guam (205)
Guam is now ranked 205 in the world. Unexpectedly, Guam was ranked 146th in the world in August-September 2015.
The achievement was obtained after Guam extraordinary victory over Turkmenistan and India. However, after that Guam struggled to win to occupy a position outside the top 100.
4. Mongolia (184)

Mongolia is now ranked 184th in the world. They got an improvement in their position after in the third round of the 2023 Asian Cup Qualification which took place last month they beat Yemen.
Talking about the best position, Mongolia was ranked 160th in the world in 2011. Seeing the development of Mongolian football lately, their chances of breaking into the top 160 position are wide open.
3. Fear (182)
Macau ranks 182 in the world. Speaking of the best ranking, Macau was ranked 156th in the world in September 1997.
Macau’s last international match took place three years ago. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Macau is having a hard time holding matches. On 11 June 2019, Macau beat Sri Lanka 0-3.
2. Taiwan (157)
Taiwan is currently ranked 157th in the world. Last year or in 2021, Taiwan was ranked 140th in the world, while Indonesian National team occupies the 175th position in the world. However, after two wins over Taiwan and reaping maximum results throughout 2021 and 2022, the Garuda squad managed to overtake Taiwan.
Now, the Indonesian national team is ranked 155th in the world, two steps ahead of Taiwan. Since the Indonesian national team has recently been more intense in holding matches, the Garuda squad has the potential to continue to stay away from Taiwan.
1. Northern Mariana Islands (No Ranking)
Northern Mariana Islands join EAFF in 2008. After a year, they were accepted as members of the Asian Football Conference (AFC).
As a result, the Northern Mariana Islands often participate in various qualifying events run by the AFC. Call it the Asian Cup Qualification U-16 to U-23. However, the Northern Mariana Islands are not yet listed as FIFA members.
The Northern Mariana Islands have not been registered as a member of FIFA because they have not been able to meet the requirements demanded by the world football federation. As a result, the Northern Mariana Islands do not yet have a FIFA ranking at this time.
