(wS/ne) Neunkirchen 07/19/2022 | Together with the municipality of Neunkirchen and the Freier Grund family pool, Westenergie invites you to an open-air cinema weekend in the municipality. On the first film night, on Friday, August 12, visitors can be entertained by “Jungle Cruise” and on Saturday, August 13 by “Top Gun: Maverick” in front of an unusual backdrop.
Last year the Westenergie open-air cinema in Neunkirchen took place for the first time. There was a lot of positive feedback on this, so that this year there will be invitations to do so again and again in a very special environment: The Freier Grund family pool welcomes cinema fans on the large lawn for “pack watching”. Admission to the performances is 5 euros. Film fans can purchase tickets in the town hall and community center as well as in the Freier Grund family pool. Admission is on both evenings from 7.30 p.m. and the film starts at 9 p.m., matching the sunset. For the right cinema atmosphere, there will be plenty of popcorn and cold drinks on both days.
“With Westenergie’s open-air cinema, we are offering the citizens of Neunkirchen and the surrounding area an entertaining and safe range of leisure activities in the fresh air and hopefully with the best weather,” reports Neunkirchen’s Mayor Dr. Bernhard Bauman. Marco Schwunk, the managing director of the family pool, is also happy about the event on the outdoor pool area: “I’m glad that we have the open-air cinema as a guest again. A film in XXL format in the open air is a completely different experience than at home on the couch.”
“We welcome the fact that not only cinema and film fans are being considered,” explains Westenergie municipal manager Achim Loos. “Like last year, all proceeds from the popcorn and ticket sales will be donated to the flood victims in the flooded areas.
Because even if the topic is no longer dominating the media at the moment, there is still a lot of work to be done there.” Westenergie not only ensures a reliable supply of electricity and gas, but also helps to ensure that the people in the region enjoy the open-air A cultural offer is available at the cinema.
