This film, Cannes Palme d’Or, unravels the history of Alexiaa murderess on the run for her crimes who transforms into an androgynous figure and poses as Adrien, a boy disappeared years ago. With this new identity he meets VincentAdrien’s father, and between the two a strange relationship is generated in which the father welcomes the son who returns home comforted to recover him, although he is not sure that he is who he says he is.
It is controversial and transgressive film (not recommended for children under 18) is directed by Julia Ducournau, accompanied by a wonderful cast of actresses and actors, including Agathe Rousselle, Vincent Lindon, Garance Marillier, Myriem Akeddiou, Dominique Frot, Nathalie Boyer, Théo Hellermann, Mehdi Rahim-Silvioli, Anaïs Fabre, Lamine Cissokho, Céline Carrère and Mara Cisse.
