Company/Organization Description

Coma, Teatro, a Franco-Chilean professional theater company, was founded in December 2008 in Nantes by actress and director Marga Murúa.
Her research aims to overcome the barriers of language and culture through images and emotions. The exchange and the mixture of cultures feed his universe and are the source of his creations.
The theater is for the company a space of common reflection where the freedom of the artistic gesture leads to the erasure of political, cultural and linguistic borders, a universe where different aesthetic influences mingle for the benefit of Art.
Convinced by the importance of a committed theatre, Coma,Teatro is interested in researching the dramaturgy of space, in a poetics of the image which allows the creation of new theatricalities. How to highlight the body, the text, the original language? How to transcribe on the set the meeting of various identities?
Since September and for another two years, Coma Teatro has been developing a shared creation project in a Nantes district, within the framework of which the volunteer in civic service will carry out their missions: it is a question of creating with the inhabitants a documentary piece, a multidisciplinary creation which will combine dramaturgy, movement, music, video, visual arts, production of scenography and costumes. The inhabitants will therefore be the very essence of the work.

Job Description

The volunteer in civic service will be responsible for:
– Make the link between the Coma company, Teatro and the actors involved in the project (neighborhood houses, associations, cultural centers, schools, residents)
– Organize activities (planning and material assistance)
– Take part in mediation actions in the field during meeting and training times as well as during performances.
