Toyota has finally announced plans to launch their electric car in Indonesia. Toyota electric car It is scheduled to be launched in 2022.
“The first BEV from Toyota will be launched this year, after Lexus in 2020,” said TAM Deputy President Director, Henry Tanoto, in North Sumatra.

“Why at that time was Lexus first, because at that time we saw the problem from the price factor and others. We saw (Lexus) possible. But now we will launch Toyota,” Henry continued.
The electric car market in Indonesia is getting hotter this year. Hyundai, which is so aggressive in introducing its electric vehicles, introduced the Hyundai Ioniq 5 last March at the IIMS event.
