PokerStars has announced the return of the former Brazil international and ex-Real Madrid forward Ronaldo Phenomenon as a company ambassador.
Along with fellow Brazilian Neymar, who became a cultural ambassador at PokerStars earlier this year, Ronaldo will be part of a team of ambassadors that includes the following people Andre Akkari and Rafael Moraeswho are PokerStars Team Pro.
“I am very pleased to announce that I will be rejoining the PokerStars family,” Ronaldo said on his social media. “I’ve always been a huge fan of the game and look forward to working on some exciting projects in the future.
“Keep an eye on Ronaldo TV where I will be covering some tournaments soon!”
In his previous role at PokerStars, the former player won 26th place in the 2015 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event and 7th place in a 2016 Festival side event.
The return of the three-time FIFA World Player of the Year and two-time world champion follows Ronaldo’s recent association with Betfair.
The former FC Barcelona, Inter Milan and Real Madrid striker officially started working at the Flutter Entertainment brand on June 30, where he and the operator will offer a range of activations and premium content.
As previously mentioned, Ronaldo joins Neymar at PokerStars. The Brazilian footballer and Paris Saint Germain player worked closely with the operator on a range of creative projects inspired by the world of culture – from art and design to music and more.
