Authority Swiss will not accept patients who are injured in war Russia in Ukraine for treatment in a Swiss hospital. The statement was made by the Swiss government, which stressed the neutrality of the military and the difficulty in distinguishing civilians from among the wounded.
Reported from the news agency AFPTuesday (19/7/2022), the local newspaper, Tages Anzeiger reported that several Swiss regions of Switzerland were willing to respond positively to the request of NATO’s Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Center, which organized the medical evacuation of Ukraine internationally.
It is known that neutral Switzerland is not a member of NATO.

The Swiss federal government then discussed the international request, but ultimately decided not to accept war-wounded patients in Ukraine.
“Once the request is known, it is then clarified with federal departments and offices as to whether Swiss can also receive patients in this case,” the Swiss Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
“Switzerland generally provides better and more efficient support with on-site humanitarian assistance and commitments than if patients were treated in Switzerland,” the ministry added.
