Director Denis Villeneuve is actively preparing for the filming of the sequel to Dune. It was recently revealed that another actress would be joining the cast.
Suheila Yakub will star in the second part of the film. She is known for her work in the thriller “Ecstasy” by Gaspard Noe. In Dune, the still little-known actress will play the role of Shishakli, a Fremen suicide warrior, writes Deadline.
Dune 2 also stars Florence Pugh, Austin Butler and Christopher Walken. Denis Villeneuve will begin filming this fall, with the film slated for release on November 17, 2023. Wherein originally it was planned that the premiere will take place on October 20 next year.
