The car company Renault already introduced the small Kangoo van to the Czech market last year, but so far only in the commercial Van version. Now there is a personal variant and also an electric version of the bathtub – there are Czech price lists in the world.

So let’s start with the passenger car Renault Kangoowhich is available in Equilibre equipment from 590,000 crowns and higher Techno from 665,000 crowns, in both cases with gasoline and diesel power units.

The basic price includes cruise control with speed limiter, isofix on the right front seat, LED headlights, air conditioning, autonomous emergency braking with detection of pedestrians and cyclists, active lane monitor, reversing sensors, 16″ metal wheels with plastic covers, electrically controlled and foldable exterior mirrors or radio with DAB reception.

The Techno version adds blind spot monitoring, a leather steering wheel, height-adjustable driver and passenger seats, automatic dual-zone climate control, keyless entry or EasyLink infotainment with an 8″ display and smartphone mirroring.

The Easy Pilot package is available, which is a semi-autonomous driving system, adaptive cruise control itself, parking assistant, heated seats, a full-size spare wheel or even 17″ alloy wheels.

A 100- or 130-horsepower version of the 1.3-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine can work under the hood, and in the case of higher equipment, it is also connected to a dual-clutch transmission. Consumption is 6.8-7.0 l/100 km, depending on the variant.

The second option is a 1.5-liter four-cylinder diesel, which has 95 or 115 horsepower and can also be combined with a dual clutch. Depending on the version, it consumes 5.3-5.8 l/100 km.

Utility electric car Renault Kangoo Van E-Tech Electric it is available in the Advance version from 765,000 crowns, Extra from 789,000 crowns and Extra Open Sesame from 813,000 crowns. This, however, with the possibility of charging only with alternating current with a power of 11 kW.

Renault only offers a stronger, 22 kW AC charger and the possibility of fast charging with direct current with a power of up to 80 kW for the Extra and Extra Open Sesame versions for a ten thousand extra compared to the listed prices.

The basic Advance equipment includes several open boxes in the cabin, a plastic steering wheel, heating without air conditioning, electric mirrors, preparation for the radio, a sliding door on the right side of the cargo area and ESP with trailer stabilization.

The Extra version adds cruise control, automatic air conditioning, a radio with DAB reception, electric windows or a center console with an armrest. The Extra Open Sesame variant adds what its name says – a variable wire partition, the possibility to fold down the passenger’s backrest, and most importantly the opening of both right doors without a B-pillar.

In any case, the Kangoo Van E-Tech Electric has 120 hp and 245 Nm, the difference is in the charging speed. The basic version of the EV45 11 kW ends at 11 kilowatts and thus charges in 3.7 hours. Renault reports the slowest charging time for a 230V 16A single-phase socket – 13.1 hours.

The EV45 22 kW version can charge with alternating current up to 22 kW and takes 1.5 hours to charge. 80 kW direct current fast charging charges the battery from 15 to 80% in 37 minutes. And finally, the range for one charge of the 45kWh battery is supposed to be 300 km.
