Paris Saint-Germain left for Japan last weekend to start the PSG Summer Tour 2022. The French champions sent their figureheads Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar to the first press conference.
For half an hour, the chosen trio answered questions from the reporters present, or at least tried to. The translation problems, which had already occurred with coach Christophe Galtier, ran through the further course of the media round.

Neymar in a good mood
Messi initially replied in Spanish, which couldn’t be translated. Neymar joked: “Should I give my answers in French?” A few seconds later, the Brazilian took center stage. Again nothing worked. The moderator of the round asked Neymar to take the floor. But again nothing could be heard on the button in the ear.

The exceptional talents laughed carefree until the technical problems were solved, at least at Mbappe. It was he in particular who was very well received by the Japanese fans.
Probably also because he said that he actively and very much enjoyed following the local national team at the past World Cup in 2018. There, Japan was eliminated in the round of 16 against eventual third-placed Belgium.
