Iran is blatantly capable of making nuclear bombs, Israel is ready for war

TEL AVIV – Chief of Staff of the Defense Force Israel (IDF) Lieutenant General Aviv Kohavi said the military was preparing itself for the possibility of being ordered to fight against Iran .

The statement by the Zionist military commander came after Iran publicly stated that it was technically capable of making nuclear bomb .

“Preparing the domestic front for war is a task that must be accelerated in the years to come, especially given the possibility that we will be called upon to act against the nuclear threat,” he said Sunday evening during a Homefront Command shift.

“The IDF continues to prepare vigorously for an attack on Iran and must prepare for any developments and scenarios. Preparing a military option against Iran’s nuclear program is a moral obligation and national security order,” he said, as quoted by the statement Jerusalem PostMonday (18/7/2022).

According to Kohavi, the military action plan against Iran’s nuclear program is central to preparations in the IDF and includes various operational plans, allocation of multiple resources, acquisition of appropriate weapons, intelligence and training.

His comments came after a senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei Kamal Kharrazi, told the television station: Al Jazeera that the Islamic Republic is technically capable of making a nuclear bomb but has not yet decided whether to build one.

Kharrazi spoke a day after US President Joe Biden ended a four-day trip to Israel and Saudi Arabia, vowing to stop Iran from “acquiring nuclear weapons”.

Kharrazi’s comments are a rare admission that Iran may want to have nuclear weapons, something he has long denied.

“Within a few days we can enrich uranium up to 60% and we can easily produce 90% enriched uranium… Iran has the technical means to produce a nuclear bomb but there has been no decision by Iran to make one,” Kharazzi said.

Iran is already up to 60% enriched, well above the 3.67% limit under Tehran’s 2015 nuclear deal with world powers. Uranium enriched up to 90% is suitable for nuclear bombs.
