Gestures, sounds, flavors of China as a prelude to the Alto festival

To announce the tenth Fête de l’Alto, which will take place from August 20 to 27, on the theme “The Silk Roads”, the Viv’Alto association is putting on a show bringing together three international soloists, Pierre-Henri Xuereb (alto ), Sophie Jégou (dance) and Thierry Miroglio (percussion).

This show brings together music, dance, digital and visual arts with, as a common thread, Chinese creation.

The program includes several works by Chinese creators, including a piece for viola by composer Xu Yi, built on fundamental Chinese philosophical elements; a work by Zhang Xiaofu on sound and visual impressions brought back from his travels in Tibet; a work by Shuya Xu on winter landscapes and a work by Chih-Feng Huang whose electronic part revisits the sounds of traditional music.

The whole thing will be accompanied by projections by video calligrapher Lempo Leong.

Thus the rhythms, gestures, melodies, images and sounds of a hundred instruments come together for a concert with a rich program.

See you on Tuesday, July 19, at 5 p.m., at the newly renovated temple of Lasalle. Prices: €10 and €5, free for children aged 15. Reservations recommended at: vivaltoencevennes.jimdo.com/ Information on 06 76 21 32 20.
