Lady Gaga starts world tour in Germany music | DW

She will perform in 14 cities: Lady Gaga will be performing on stages around the world for the first time since January 2018. She will give her first concert on July 17th as an open-air concert in Düsseldorf, after which she will appear in Stockholm, Paris, London, Toronto, Washington, New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles, among others.

It’s a first, as the tour will be the first time the singer will be performing tracks from her latest album, Chromatica. Lady Gaga originally wanted to go on tour for the release of the album in 2020. Due to the corona pandemic, however, their performances had to be postponed twice.

For two years, European fans could only see Lady Gaga on screen: Here at an open-air cinema screening in Paris of “A Star is Born”

The German and continental European fans of the pop icon should be particularly pleased that the first concert will take place in Düsseldorf: During her last world tour in 2018, Lady Gaga had to cancel many of her European concert dates due to illness, including all appearances in Germany.

Pop icon opens up about her health

Lady Gaga suffers from fibromyalgia, an increased sensitivity to pain, colloquially known as soft tissue rheumatism. She spoke about it with US talk show host Oprah Winfrey in 2020. “Der Spiegel” reported at the time that she had spoken about how the disease causes chronic pain throughout the body and leads to exhaustion. “When I sit here with you, I have pain from head to toe,” she quoted the “Spiegel”.
