The Portuguese Patrícia Mamona secured, this Saturday, a place among the 12 finalists of the women’s triple jump at the World Athletics Championships in Oregon, in the United States.
The silver medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games was outside the qualifying zone (first jump of 14.05 and the second zero) until, in the third and last attempt, he achieved a mark of 14.32 meters, close to the best personal brand of the year (14.35).
The Venezuelan Yulimar Rojas achieved the best mark, with 14.72.
The final of the triple jump is scheduled for the morning of Monday to Tuesday, at 2:20 am CET.
