In Great Britain, in the Brixton area of South London, a unique bank robbery took place, The Sun reports.
“It’s a unique crime. I’ve never heard of anything like it,” admits former Metropolitan Police chief Barry Phillips.
A thief disguised as a cashier walked into a bank and easily stole £150,000.
According to eyewitnesses of the event, nothing seemed wrong. A G4S security guard allegedly came to the bank, reporting that he had come to collect money. He was dressed in a special uniform, with a helmet and a visor on his head. He looked just like a tax collector.
Therefore, the bank employees had no doubt that something was wrong.
The thief showed the bank employees a fake ID, took the boxes of money and left the bank.
A car with a driver was waiting for the thief outside. After collecting all the money, they left.
The bank employees were suspicious that the collector did not return to the bank to sign the documents after taking the last cash box.
“The staff went out and were in shock. They didn’t see any cashier or van. They had blown away the money,” says a bank employee.
Not understanding what was happening, the bank representatives contacted the G4S company to find out why the employee left before signing the documents. It was at this moment that it was discovered that the theft had taken place.
The police are currently investigating the incident.
