Originally planned on Place Châtelet in Chartres, the event moved to the Butte des Charbonniers, near the bandstand, in order to escape the heat, but also the scales of the summer Chartres concert.
“We are going to start this event with a prayer for all the people who have fallen since the beginning of the conflict”, underlines Inna Le Gall, Ukrainian living in Chartres for twenty years.

She wished, then, to have a thought for the twenty-three people who died, Thursday, during the Russian strikes in the city center of Vinnytsia, in the center of the country.
Then, speeches followed. There are approximately 700 Ukrainian refugees in Eure-et-Loir. A demonstration will take place on Saturday July 23, place Châtelet, in Chartres.
