Manchester United showed a lack of performance at the back against Melbourne Victory. Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof criticized for not being fast enough.

Maguire was unable to dampen Ikonomidis’ speed. With ease, the number seven back struck the ball into the net.
MU can rise in the rest of the game. Scott McTominay, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, and an own goal from Edmond Lupancu became the decisive victory for the Red Devils.
Maguire’s performance paired with Lindelof at the heart of defence MU not rated optimally. The two of them couldn’t play a high defensive line strategy because they didn’t have the speed.

Eric Bailly has performed better than Maguire in at least two games. Demands to choose Bailly over Maguire also arose.
