Just before the official shooting Dune – Part Two start in Budapest has become with Souheila Yacoub (Climax) another casting access of the film found. As Deadline reportedly, the former gymnast and actress will embody the Fremen character Shishakli.
The character belongs to the inhabitants of the Sietch Tabr and belongs to the so-called Fedaykin, the death squads of the Fremen. Their members would do anything – even their lives – to make justice out of injustice and are in no way inferior to the elite troops of the Emperor.
Most recently, Christopher Walken (Sleepy Hollow) as Emperor Shaddam IV. Corrino, Florence Pugh (Black Widow) as his daughter Princess Irulan and Léa Seydoux (James Bond 007: No Time to Die) announced as Bene Gesserit sister Lady Margot and wife of Shaddam’s only childhood friend Count Fenring. Austin Butler (Elvis) will play Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, another important character in the sequel. They join Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Zendaya, Javier Bardem, as well as Stellan Skarsgård and Dave Bautista, who will reprise their familiar roles.
Behind the camera, on the other hand, everything remains the same, so that Denis Villeneuve takes over the direction again and together with Jon Spaihts (Doctor Strange) also wrote the screenplay again. Likewise, Hans Zimmer (Top Gun: Maverick) again the soundtrack of the film. Filming began in Italy earlier this month, with main work set to begin next week in Budapest.
The start date for Dune – Part Two was last postponed to November 16, 2023.
