Tiger Woods had a bad start in the British Golf Open, which began this Thursday in St Andrews (Scotland), with a +6 card, remaining 14 shots from the head of the classification, which is also occupied by the American Cameron Young ( -8).

Woods, 46, who in February 2021 had a car accident in which he was close to losing his right leg, began his journey with a double bogey, already on the first hole.
He then chained bogeys on holes 3 and 4, and then conceded a second double bogey on hole 7. In seven holes, he was already at +6 and did not improve his card in the following eleven holes.
The champion player of fifteen Grand Slam tournaments, including three British Open -two of them in St Andrews-, signed his first birdie on the ninth hole, unleashing applause from the spectators. Woods answered them with a smile.
But the day was not the best for him and the balance of the day was negative for this start of the most important British tournament.
