No operating system lasts forever, and so do Android and iOS. The fact that the new system versions that are beta-tested during the summer feel more and more like the previous generation can be interpreted as meaning that the systems are ready and only need to be refined, but it can also be a sign that they are starting to approach their technical limitations.
