Amazon promises to adjust interface to display second seller – IT Pro – News

What irritates me immensely at Amazon and this really comes from my deepest.

I am self-employed and order a lot for work. I am also a Prime subscriber in the Netherlands. And this is where things already go very wrong, Amazon Business does not exist in the Dutch Amazon store.

Let’s take a look at the many advantages:
VAT number is automatically filled in with every order. Better deals for companies and order products directly without paying the VAT. These can be placed in a separate folder where you do not have any extra work in terms of administration because you do not have to request VAT back for this separately.

Why in God’s name is there only no Amazon Business at Amazon Netherlands and all other European stores do? This keeps me very much from ordering on Amazon.nl.

2nd point I want to address with this:
Why is your Prime subscription only valid for 1 region and not for your entire Amazon account in all European stores? I have to purchase a separate Prime subscription for each region in which I want to take advantage of Prime benefits, specifically for that region. However, Amazon automatically chose to change my German Prime subscription to a Dutch one without asking my permission and that I now take a special Prime Business subscription for the German store for a much higher extra cost to get the benefits. This really makes no sense because the Dutch Amazon is really nonesense.

Regardless of what you’re looking for, you’ll often only find it on the English and German amazon. And given Brexit, the English one is a big no go. Shipment and extra costs are often more than the product itself, so it often remains with the German Amazon store alone. The Dutch store is simply junk.

The American Amazon has almost every product you can find in the world for very competitive prices. And yes, all of America can benefit from that. In terms of the Region, that is even larger than the whole of Europe put together and everyone reaps benefits from this in terms of price, range and delivery. The European stores collectively have a good range, but individually they really miss a lot. Amazon.eu for all of Europe would really make a lot more sense than all those bad single stores that only cover a small part of Europe.

I would add a filter to an Amazon.eu where you can select whether you only want to see regions in your area, with low shipping costs or everything. This would also have the advantage from Amazon’s perspective that Amazon.eu would deal a really big blow against web stores in Europe and significantly strengthen the competitive position and be able to grab many more orders and customers. But no, Amazon continues to make bad choices in Europe, while in America everyone can benefit from Amazon.com.

The European experience is just awful and I’d rather pay more for Prime to have it all in my account than by region. That’s just illogical. Prime day was only for my Dutch account yesterday and I didn’t want those benefits there. Would have preferred the German or French.
